Masters Workshop
8th
July 2007
by
Tina Matania (3rd Duan)
The
second of this year's Masters Workshops held in 2007 by Grandmaster
M K Loke took place on Sunday 8th July at National Headquarters (HQ).

Master Siew Ying Loke: side thrust kick (cher chuai ti)
The
workshop, which lasted over two hours, was well attended, however sadly
some Masters were stuck in traffic on a very busy M25 motorway and were
unable to get to HQ ... must have been due to the 'Tour de France' taking
place - if only they had cycled but it's such a long journey for some!
We missed them and hope to see them again at the next workshop later
on this year.
Grandmaster
Loke went through all the luohan forms in detail, starting with luohan
form four working backwards, then through the pinan forms and finally
basic form four.
Slow
kicking combinations were also covered, including ground sweeping kicks,
stomp kicks and back and roundhouse kicks from the ground position.
Slow kicking is a very effective way to develop good muscle strength
and tone and to improve balance.
Thank
you to Mrs Loke from all the 3rd Duans and Masters who attended for
a superb meal afterwards which was much appreciated.

Sou!
