First Aid Courses

EMERGENCY FIRST AID TRAINING
First Aid courses are held at HQ (Grays)
All Duan grades are eligible to attend.


Please contact HQ for course availability and to book your place by telephoning

The course covers casualty and injury management including resuscitation technique. A certificate will be issued.

Note: First Aid courses are open to all Duan Holders (18 years +) to increase kowledge of safety and injury management. For those who are currently teaching this course is compulsory and must be renewed every 3 years.

MASTER CLASSSES

These master classes give us the opportunity to keep in touch with each other and provide technical standardisation in the thau (forms). We can also share ideas in improving our coaching skills and maintaining our classes in this ever changing social/economic climate.

COACHING COURSE

Compulsory for Instructors
(1st Ji Red Belt and above, from 20 yrs old)

This course is compulsory for those (from 1st Ji Red Belt) who are interested in teaching in the future. Instructors who are presently teaching must also attend to develop further, update their skills and express their views in the many aspects of being an instructor.
Held at BTSDF HQ, Norman Hall, Cromwell Road, Grays, Essex RM17 5HF

CHAMPIONSHIPS REFEREES/JUDGES/OFFICIALS TRAINING
Referees: All 2nd Duan and above (minimum 18 years old) are eligible to be a referee.
Judges: All 1st Duan and above (minimum 18 years old) are eligible to be ringside judges.
Officials: All blue belts and above (minimum 13 years old) are eligible to be timekeepers/score-keepers and general duties)

This course is to train new Referees, Ringside Judges & Officials for both "Tooi Ta" Free-fighting and "Thau" competition. It is also must for existing judges to sharpen their skills and share their knowledge with those who are less experienced.
Our Ren Yi Wu Kwan competition has always been successful and enjoyable each year due to our emphasis on fair and competent judging skills.
Coffee/Tea/Biscuits will be available.

Red & blue belts (from age 11) are invited to be time-keepers and score-keepers and have the opportunity to learn judging skills.
1st Duan (from 18 yrs) are eligible to be ringside judges.
2nd Duan and above are eligible to be referees.

Suitable for 11 years and above,
all physical abilities, ages and sizes catered for
Practical skills for street self-defence
and it's FUN!
