Master Goward (5th Duan) runs self-defence workshops for the Girl Guides at their regional meetings.

The picture below shows Master Goward (centre) with some of the students at their second meeting held in 2001.

At this meeting Master Goward assisted by Tina Matania (2nd Duan) instructed over 120 Girl Guides.

Training takes place outdoors. Students learn evasion, escape from an attacker's grip, basic kicking and striking techniques, and last but not least .... how to scream very loudly in order to draw attention to themselves!
