Sia Duan Fan Pei Tang (Low Section Forearm
Block) - with cover.
The arm must finish across the centre line.

Grandmaster Loke analyses sidestep block
and counter long fist
punch executed by one of the students from Surrey partnered
by Master Steve Ronketti.
Self-defence
and counter attack positions were discussed.

Chean Chuai Ti (Front Thrust Kick).
Slow kicking, focusing on the foot shape,
hip extension, eye focus and position were also covered.

Students from Surrey: Cher Chuai Ti (Side

It is important to shape the foot so
the outside edge
of the foot makes contact with the target.

Forms
were performed, slow count, fast count and in the students own time.
Above we see 1st ji red belts performing the third movement of Pinan
form two (Pinan Er Duan), and below three students from Surrey together
with Robert Little (2nd Duan, Essex) go through Luohan Form 3 (Luohan
San Duan).

Eee-puh
tooi-ta (one step sparring) and evasion with counter attacking techniques
were executed by all students present, focusing in particular on the
chuan chi kai ti (roundhouse knee kick), pulling the opponent forward
onto the kick after the evasion and counter.

Grandmaster Loke analyses students position,
block and strike.

After
sparring with more senior belts students completed their breaking technique
requirements.

Master Angie Thomas (left) watches as
Surrey student performs Cher Chuai Ti (Side Thrust Kick) through the
breakboard. As the kick extends the supporting foot turns. The back
is upright and the eyeline is fixed on the target.

Wai

Simon Green (1st Duan) from Sussex holds the board.
Mr Keith Dell observes.
