October 2004
The
2004 Instructors Coaching Course took place on Sunday 24th October 2004
at HQ, Norman Hall, Grays, Essex. The course was well attended and lasted
for four hours.
Grandmaster
Loke first went through primary striking techniques with the group,
breaking the movements down into half moves and simple and complex applications.

Grandmaster
Loke demonstrates the 'half move' for the elbow strike
on horse stance (sou chuor kong chee - ping ma bu)

Grandmaster
then analysed blocking techniques, beginning with the basic blocks and
progressing to more advanced concurrent movements.

There
then followed an illustration of teaching techniques and how each movement
should be taught at different levels of complexity to different belt
levels, so the student grasps the rudiments of the technique and then
refines this over time.
