'Epsom Six' Go to Grays for the Duan Grading

19 March 2006On Sunday 19th March six students from Master Adam Goward's Epsom Club travelled to Grays in Essex to take their Duan grading examinations.

Jonathan King, Roland Vasallo, Nikki Della Rocca, Shaun Feltham and Mark and Sebastian Hancock all performed well. They have trained at Epsom and Epsom Downs regularly on average twice a week for several years. The 'Epsom Six' were also joined by Tim Eves from Horsham who also occasionally trains at Epsom Downs.
Jonathan trains alongside son Simon who attained his 2nd Duan grade at a young age and has attended class at Epsom and Epsom Downs every week without fail - through the winter on very cold floors (until the hall heating warms up!), and naturally through the summer weather too!

Mark and Sebastian train together and it was a pleasure to see them reach the Duan grade level at the same time, truly a day to remember.
Nikki returned to training after a few years gap in her training and has trained hard alongside her fellow students to attain the required standard for Grandmaster Loke's Duan grade.
