In October and November 2004 Mrs Nicola Mayatt is arranging a 'Sponsored Kick' in aid of Cancer Research.
Instructor Mrs Nicola Mayatt with Grandmaster LokeNicola's husband, Matt Mayatt, was an instructor and member of our martial arts family who sadly passed away two years ago with cancer at the age of only 32 years.
Matt was a vibrant and kind family man who was respected and admired by his students, therefore this 'sponsored kick' is in his memory. Nicola has carried on the 'martial tradition' and Matt's class by becoming the Instructor for the Davis Estate club.
You can obtain a sponsorship form from your local instructor or by contacting Headquarters.
The challenge for students and instructors alike is to perform as many kicks as possible within one minute (the foot must touch the ground in between!)
Cheques are to be made payable to 'Cancer Research UK' and sent with the sponsorship form to Headquarters for the attention of 'Nicola - Matt Mayatt Sponsored Kick'.
If you would prefer to make a donation, just send a cheque to Headquarters with your name and address and we will pass this to Nicola to add to the funds raised, any donation would be appreciated.
Your support will help Cancer Reasearch UK to maximise the resources available for cancer research, train specialist doctors, nurses and scientists and be an authoritative source of information on cancer.
