by Master Chris Cook (5th Duan)

September 2006

Congratulations to Ben Hacker Hughes, member of Chelmsford Club, who has at only 11 years old released his own album which is entitled "Under the Stars" to raise money for a parish in South Africa and a sponsored climb for Oxfam.

Ben wrote the music and lyrics for the album which contains seven songs and plays for 15 minutes.

Ben comes from a musical family, his mother plays piano on some of the tracks and his father plays bass on the rest. Ben plays keyboards and also enjoys drumming.

Funds raised from the sale of the CD initially went towards a sponsored climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya for Oxfam. Further money raised will now go towards St Michael's Church in Khayelitsha, a township near Capetown where the Dean of Chelmsford, the Very Rev Peter Judd is working for one month.

The CD costs £3.00 (50p towards Khayelitsha) and is avaiable from Chelmsford Cathedral office tel: Chelmsford (01245) 294 489 or via hackerhughes.family@lineone.net
