'Chelmsford Three' Take Their Duan Grading Examinations
19 March 2006On Sunday 19th March three members from Master Christopher Cook's Chelmsford Club attended their Duan grading and up-grading examinations held at National Headquarters in Grays, Essex.

In addition to breaking a stack of twelve roof tiles, Aaran performed two short range hand techniques, only four inches from the target of a stack of five tiles held vertically, smashing through on the first attempt in each case.

Tiles held by Nick Evagorou (2nd Duan) and Steve Ronketti (4th Duan)Amanda Hewlett took her long overdue first Duan senior examination whilst daughter Hayley took her first Duan test. Both have trained since late 1994 and have been with Master Cook (5th Duan) for many of those years at various venues around Essex, with Mandy stopping only to increase our Tang Sou family with Samantha (now a 9 year old at orange belt level) and Steven (a 5 year old yellow belt).
