The Masters’ Grading. On a very hot sweaty day. Congratulations go to the following:

Andy Farrell was promoted to 4th Duan Master grade. Paul Peniston was promoted to 4th Duan Master grade. Both Andy and Paul have been training in Southend under Grandmaster Loke since the mid 90’s. Master Peniston has been training with his sons, all of whom have attained black belt, including Sam who has achieved his Master Grade. 

Master Anna Welch was promoted to 5th Duan. Master Welch started training with Grandmaster Loke in the early 90’s, before moving to Chelmsford and attending Master Cook’s club. Master Welch’s husband Russell and her three daughters watched the entire grading, and should be very proud.

Master Colin Calvin was promoted to 6th Duan. Master Calvin has been training with Grandmaster Loke regularly for 31 years. And he still looks exactly the same.

Congratulations go to the following:

Matthew Blakemore (Kent) was promoted to 2nd Duan. Matt, Emma Adam and their father Keith Blakemore have all trained under Master Merrell and Grandmaster Loke for many years. Matthew really pushed himself, and should be very happy with his performance.

Sam Barnard was promoted to 1st Duan Senior.

Sina Pourkomailian, Della Ray, Jack Adams and Kane McEwan were promoted to 1st Duan.

Sam Peniston (Southend) was promoted to 4th Duan Master Grade. He has been training with his brothers Ryan and Harry and his father Paul since the early 90’s with Grandmaster Loke in the Southend club. 

Jo Page and Keith Blakemore (Grays) were promoted to 6th Duan. Both have trained with Grandmaster Loke for over thirty years. 

Masters Adrian Belcher (Southend), Chris Wright (Southend), Gemini Patel (Hornchurch), Tracey Langmead (Hornchurch) and Stephanie Debenham (Grays) were promoted to 5th Duan.

12th April 2015

Congratulations go to the following:

Thay Lau (Grays), Chris Hayden (Uckfield), Harry Parsons (Brisbane) and Daniel Parsons (Brisbane) who were promoted to 1st Duan.

This was Harry and Daniel’s first trip to the UK from Brisbane since their emigration some 8 years ago. Their father, William Parsons 3rd Duan who runs the Brisbane BTSDF was tensely assisting in their grading. Their mother, grandparents and extended family members were proudly supporting them.

John Fletcher (Croydon) and Alex Bunny (Rochford) were promoted to 1st Duan Senior.
