The Ren Yi Wu Kwan was founded by Grandmaster M.K. Loke to take forward the development of martial art into the twenty-first century. This has been achieved by combining great Chinese technical sophistication with modern teaching methods so for the first time, it is possible for all to learn and enjoy a complex, complete and effective martial art.

Martial arts have been taught for thousands of years but never before have their core principles been made generally available. Previously it was necessary for you to train for more than twenty years before you could be taught those theories and practices which make all the difference to your effectiveness as a martial artists.

Grandmaster M.K. Loke's Ren Yi Wu Kwan Tang Sou Dao is a fusion of the best of the old and new, a unique system that is practised only within the Grandmaster's association. This system will teach you how to generate tremendous long range as well as short range impact power in blows . You will also learn a wide range of spectacular kicks, evasive and attacking footwork, line, timing, distance,effective grappling, body blocking and all the tactics which taken together make Tang Sou Dao work for you - regardless of your size and weight.

Grandmaster Loke began his training in his birth place -Penang, Malaysia during 1964, learning karate, Praying Mantis, White Crane and Eighteen Hands Luohan under that renowned Master Lim Cheng Hock and in 1973, he opened his first British club.

Since then he has enrolled more than 8,000 students and qualified more than 300 black belts, many of whom have achieved master/ shi fu level (these terms are explained elsewhere in your manual) . He now operates from his academy's headquarters cum full-time centre of excellence in the Greater London area and has a growing family of clubs.

Our Founder's past achievements includes being a Founder and Executive member of the British Martial Arts Commission from 1977-1990 and has served as an Advisor from 1990-1992 to the British Sports Council Advisory Group for martial arts.

Reference to martial art ' family' is intentional because the Ren Yi Wu Kwan is an organisation in which all members are valued for what they are and encouraged to develop. Through your membership, you will enjoy the company of like-minded people whilst learning practical techniques from an instructor whose performance in teaching you is monitored directly by the Grandmaster. You can contact the head of the family - the Grandmaster - directly yourself and you will meet him when he visits your local club. Your progress will be directly monitored through your performance at regular grade promotion examinations and you will receive full certification in recognition of your efforts.
