THE SHOUT - "HARN"

We shout:

1. Every time we change direction

2. When we change technique

3. On the last move of a combination of techniques

4. Twice when performing a form ' thau'

5. When your instructor commands

 

The shout should be at the same time the technique lands ... not before or after!

 

The shout should come from air being forced up from the stomach - not from the throat.

As we shout, our ribs move inwards and the stomach muscles tighten.
